Wine and Food

<strong>Wine</strong> I am a Wine and Food Enthusiast!  My wife and I owned a store outside Boulder Colorado called The Wine Experience.  She is also known as The Wine Guru Gal.  We enjoy entertaining and throwing wine tasting parties.  We have conducted numerous wine tasting dinners and even seminars about stemware and how it influences taste.  Getting together with friends and family is a pastime that we treasure. <strong>Food</strong> We can actually cook together in the same kitchen.  She’s the better cook.  I also love to BBQ and make a mean dry rub for my ribs, pork shoulder and Chicken.  I call them Rocky Mountain Baby Backs!  The key to appreciating wine is to understand how to match it with your food.  Pairing is critical.  Don’t drink red wine with scallops or oysters, rather choose a Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Blanc!  For filet mignon Cabernet Sauvignon is terrific but for Rib-Eye I recommend Merlot.
